Fiscal Deficit in Modi Government rise to 15.01lakh cr

  India economy news LIVE: Data issued by the Controller General of Accounts on March 28 indicated that the fiscal deficit of the central government increased to Rs 15.01 lakh crore in April 2023–February 2024 from Rs 11.03 lakh crore in April–January.



The fiscal deficit for the first 11 months of the current fiscal year, at Rs 15.01 lakh crore, represents 86.5 percent of the revised forecast, which is Rs 17.35 lakh crore. The initial estimate for the budget was Rs 17.87 lakh crore.
